If Music be the Food of Love, Play On!

Song of the Day—"The Blue Danube" as featured on Dieux du Stade 2010

If Strauss' "The Blue Danube" wasn't already beautiful, it certainly is now thanks to rugby-playing brothers Thom and Max Evans! This is the very definition of homoerotic! I have no idea what the second track is, but I'm sure none of you will mind. Enjoy!

The Eyes Have It!

LOL Moment of the Day!

I've said it before and I'll say it again—when you go for a spray tan, the "dark tan" option might seem like a good idea at the time, but you'll live to regret it! LOL!

Movies You've Never Heard Of - Reviewed!

Is it a horror film? Is it a tragedy? Is it a drama about family and belonging? Is it a cautionary tale about science and humanity? Like FRANKENSTEIN before it, SPLICE is all of the above, and it succeeds admirably. Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley (two of the best actors of their generation) play a super-scientist couple who want to prove their ability to splice human DNA, but without the nod from the corporate sector and the scientific community, they decide to do it on the quiet. When they succeed, it becomes inevitable that their paternal instincts begin to kick in and their subject becomes more of a daughter to them... until her rapid growth shows signs of instability and danger. To quote Jeff Goldblum in JURASSIC PARK, "Just because we could, doesn't mean we should." Packed with thrills, suspense, tenderness, sadness and lots of food for thought, SPLICE gets a very enthusiastic 9 out of 10 from me!
