Song of the Day—Philip Glass's "The Hours" performed by Branca Parlik

This is my favourite Philip Glass track (among so many amazing tracks) and if you've seen the movie THE HOURS you know what an important part the music has to play in the movie. I can't play the piano (I wish I could) but watching these hands dance and reach up and down the keyboard, you just know that this was created by a genius!

Song of the Day—Florence and the Machine's "Dog Days Are Over"

I love this song, it's so feel-good and apocalyptically-inspirational. Is that a genre?

LOL Moment of the Day!

This is exactly how I dance to Florence and the Machine in the car! LOL!

Typos! When will we ever learn the error of our ways?!

Before and After—Santiago Aragon

It's always fascinating watching models grow up—some get better with age, others lose that boyish charm and replace it with masses of muscle. Do you think Santiago looks better before or after?

Movies You've Never Heard Of - Reviewed!

You know when you go to the video store on a Saturday night and everything is out, so you end up reading the blurbs on the back of DVDs you've never heard of thinking "It's either gonna be okay or I'm about to waste my money!" Well I kinda love watching those movies I've never heard of because sometimes you get a nice surprise. Which brings me to FROZEN.

This isn't a bad little film at all. In a nutshell, three friends (two guys and a girl) get stuck on a chairlift at a ski resort that shuts down for the week, the operators of the resort not realizing the kids are stuck halfway up the mountain in the middle of the air. It's one of those movies that relies on the tension between characters in a bid for survival as they make various attempts to save themselves. I have to say I really quite liked FROZEN. It's full of "what would you do" moments and terrific performances from the three leads including fairly decent-calibre stars Shawn Ashmore and Kevin Zegers (who are also both very cute!). Be warned, it is quite tense and gruesome at times, but this "Movie You've Never Heard Of" gets a 7 out of 10 from me! Nice effort!

LOL Moment of the Day!

Seriously! Didn't anyone's mother in this town tell them never to fly things near powerlines!! Some people just have to learn the hard way - LOL!
